What should you look for in a coupon site?

Online coupons and promotions are nothing new, they’ve probably been around just as long as Internet commerce. They’re convenient and they can save you a great deal of time and money. Websites like http://couponshq.com.au are great examples of legitimate coupon sites that offer consumers amazing savings on premium items and services.

Most of the sites are on the up and up, but there are scammers out there waiting to take advantage, if you let them. These are signs that you’ve found a good site for savings.

1. Timeliness. A good site that provides value will have high traffic and maintain their website. Their popularity will also attract higher-quality products and more valuable, desirable services to offer to consumers.

When you travel to a coupon site and find a lot of out-of-date offers, out-of-stock products, and broken links, it’s a sign that you’ve found an unpopular or obsolete website.

2. Price. A good coupon provider doesn’t charge the consumer for using their service, nor do they require you to give personal information in exchange for access. If you stumble upon a site that uses any of these practices, pass it by.

3. Customer Ratings. Like most consumer services, you can tell a lot by customer feedback. If the website ranks high in search engine listings or has favorable customer feedback on the site itself, it’s probably worth your time and effort to check it out. It’s also a good idea to look at the customer satisfaction ratings on the web pages of the services and products listed on the coupon provider’s site.

4. Ease. How easily you can navigate around a website and get the information you need is a good indicator of how that website feels about the level of customer satisfaction it provides. The website should provide a clean user interface that’s well-organized and all links should be in good working order.

Bonus points go to websites that have search features, an absence of pop-up ads and clutter, and that make it easy to find what you’re looking for.

A website is only as good as it is useful. Everybody loves to save money, but if you have to jump through hoops or suffer through a lot of inconvenience to do it, it really isn’t worth your time. Services that know how to keep their customers happy will keep them coming back for more.

  1. I am a big couponer and i have seen some seriously illegal couponing going on. My suggestion is to read each stores coupon policy and to never copy coupons.

  2. I get so many great coupons from Coupons.com and they really have some high value ones. I will have to look at some of these sites to see what other places I can get coupons.
